Founded in 1803, Bridgewater Congregational Church (BCC) has served as a spiritual, cultural, and civic cornerstone of Bridgewater, Connecticut for more than 220 years. For generations, it has been a place of worship, gathering, celebration, and service — welcoming both church members and the wider community.

Today, this historic building requires significant exterior painting and preservation to protect it from continued weather-related deterioration. New England’s harsh climate has caused peeling paint, exposed wood, and aging surfaces that, if left untreated, will lead to costly structural damage and loss of historic integrity.

A Fresh Coat of Faith Campaign aims to raise over $100,000 to support a much-needed exterior restoration project. With matching funds already committed by BCC Angels and the Board of Memorial Fund, we are seeking to raise an additional $50,000–$60,000 to complete the comprehensive exterior restoration of the church and related buildings.

For more than two centuries, faithful stewards have cared for this church so that it might continue to serve their neighbors and community. A Fresh Coat of Faith Campaign honors that legacy while preparing Bridgewater Congregational Church for the future.

This project will:

• Preserve a vital historic and spiritual landmark

• Protect the building from long-term damage

• Renew its welcoming appearance

• Strengthen community pride

• Support worship, cultural events, and public gatherings

• Ensure continued service for future generations

Supporters are invited to participate through tax-deductible financial gifts, pledges, volunteer efforts, and advocacy. All campaign funds will be dedicated exclusively to the preservation project and managed with transparency and accountability by church leadership.
